Process Festival, Pulse springboard, electro-trad creation… in Quimper, the explosive return of the Synchrone association

The first edition of Process brought together no fewer than 1,500 electro music fans in February 2019 at the Pavillon in . In March 2020, it was a cold shower. The pandemic having come to play spoilsport, Synchrone had to cancel the second edition of the festival, just one week before the event. After having invested in the organization of numerous other events, always around electro music, the association decided to relaunch this festival. Set for Saturday, May 17, the evening (from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m.) will feature six to seven artists representing all styles of electro music. Synchrone expects a capacity of 4,000 festival-goers, with entry at €25-27.

We no longer have the means to offer free appointments.

  • 2 The Kermix takes a break in 2025

There will be no third edition of Kermix. At least not this year. “We no longer have the means to offer free meetings (the first two editions were open access). It’s an event that requires technical, human and financial resources,” explains Gérald Cossard, president of Synchrone. The first edition of the electro fair, on May 7, 2023, on the Max-Jacob esplanade, was a huge success. The second edition, on May 19, 2024, on the Moulin-Vert plain, unfortunately suffered from stormy showers late in the afternoon. “This year, it’s too complicated. But in 2026, why not leave again,” says the president of the association.

  • 4 A traditional electro creation with Bagad Kemper

Electro music is increasingly attracting attention from traditional Breton music. In this increasingly popular movement, Synchrone, in partnership with Ti ar Vro, is embarking on the creation of a piece of electro music accompanied by musicians from Bagad Kemper. “We wanted musicians who play Breton music, so we said we might as well take champions of Brittany from Quimper! » laughs Gérald Cossard. “It will be a trip-hop piece in the spirit of what Denez Prigent did in the 2000s. It will be more music to listen to than to dance to.” So many projects!
