the essential
Until February 10, at the media library, the new cultural year begins with an exhibition of paintings by a painter. This is the third time that Camille Cabrol, a young self-taught artist from Tarn, has exhibited her works to the general public.
Nothing predestined Camille to become a painter, except that she has loved black and white pencil drawing since her early childhood. It was the period of confinement, and the gloom of the moment, which sparked the idea of combining color with his drawings.
She started timidly with colored markers, but the result did not suit her. So she decides to start with small tubes of acrylic paint. Over the course of the tests, the result was conclusive, and above all encouraged by those around her, she threw herself fully into her new passion for painting.
The artist defines his abstract style, but also expressionist, inspired by the painters Patrice Murciano and Loui Jover. It is a mixture of the two styles that guides her in the creation of her works. This is his “hatching” period, a period of renewal, discovering painting and his new passion for communicating through pictorial art.
-With a certain talent, “Cam” works mainly with a knife and brush in acrylic to give more substance. His inspirations are varied, the ideas come to him during his walks in nature, or even during visits. For her first attempts, following her inspirations, she associated the feminine face and nature, more precisely the wild exotic animal.
In his paintings, the duality of the eyes of human and animal gazes is juxtaposed. She calls them “the symbolic ones” because the energy that each being gives off is enhanced by light and warm colors.
His exhibition is very atypical, abstract paintings accompany his series of dualities to show all his interest in light and color. Come share Cam’s world, a world of opposing and fascinating colors. Camille will soon launch a workshop for painting and drawing classes, art therapy and positive psychology.
