With 22,048 paid entries in 2024, the Paradiso cinemain Aunay-sur-Odon (Les Monts d’Aunay), in Calvados, has regained the pre-Covid attendance level.

Detailed analysis of the results reveals a different distribution of entries this year, with spectators concentrating on a few very big hits, the best example of which is of course this ‘little extra thing’, which exploded the box -office. However, we recorded honorable scores for very diverse films and in all categories, from very general audiences to Arthouses, including young audiences who are particularly close to our hearts.

The 2024 cinema awards at Paradiso

The Paradiso box office places the phenomenon film “ A little something extra » with 1,487 entries. Next come, in the general public category: “ The Counts of Monte Cristo » (604), « Cocorico » (503), « Private preserve » (445), « Retirement home 2 » (404) et « phew love » (346).

For young audiences, “ Vaiana » had the best score with 933 entries; “ Vice-versa », 658, et « Despicable Met”, 465. As for school sessions, “ The Great Animal Christmas » had 687 entries, and “ Gluttonous bears at the North Pole », 342.

If the Arthouse category did not see big scores, we note regular attendance with some good sessions, like “ The Bertrand farm », which had 181 entries.

The monthly surprise film, a “growing” success

The president highlights “the growing success of film surprise screened every first Tuesday of the month, as well as the animations ‘Cinéfilous’, ‘Clap ou pas clap’ and ‘Classiques sur grand screen’, in partnership with MaCao, which continue to find their audience, as do our debate evenings.

All these animations will be proposed again in 2025.
