€17,000 of work to erase the network
The elected official presented the upcoming projects for 2025, with several important works on the horizon. With in particular the erasure of the electrical networks at the Moulin des Vaux impasse.
As part of the bare wire resorption program, work will be carried out by the SDEC to bury the electrical networks and optical fiber. » I proposed burying these networks rather than installing poles, a suggestion unanimously validated by the municipal council. » The cost for the municipality amounts to €17,773.
Fire reserve
A fire reserve will be installed in the hamlet of La Courrière, thanks to the sale of land by Mr. Sorel. The grant file for this project will be put together this year.
Vegetation of the cemetery
A project to revegetate the cemetery is planned, with work expected to be completed by June 2025. This includes the establishment of an ossuary, a columbarium and a garden of remembrance. “Paving stones will also be installed around the main entrance, and masonry work will be carried out on part of the cemetery wall. »
Census
A census of the town will be carried out this year by the town hall secretary, Stéphanie Locuty.
Control of taxes
Roger Havas stressed that, despite all these projects, the town hall has not increased the municipal share of taxes. He recalled that as a community representative, he remains vigilant on future expenses and CCCSN projects, in particular the future local kitchen, the operating cost of which remains unknown. “It is important that we, elected officials, be attentive to avoid significant tax increases for our fellow citizens,” concluded the mayor.
Looking back at the year 2024
Roger Havas did not fail to recall the significant events of the year 2024, emphasizing the developments and works carried out to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Combray.
Seniors' meals
On April 11, the commune organized a meal in honor of the elders, with a mass celebrated at the Saint-Martin church, followed by a meal at the Le Fil du Temps restaurant in Thury-Harcourt le Hom. “I thank Father Roger for celebrating the mass, as well as for his presence and his talent as a singer during the event. »
-Road works and developments
Among the projects carried out, Roger Havas highlighted the road work carried out in the town. A new asphalt sidewalk has been installed on the D 254, direction Thury, thus offering greater safety to pedestrians, without the use of phytosanitary products. The repair of the RD 254 outside the urban area, towards Esson and Pont-d'Ouilly, also responded to citizens' requests. “This work was financed exclusively by the town hall,” said the mayor.
Rainwater
Rainwater management work was carried out on rue de la Courrière, in order to resolve flow problems and facilitate the circulation of school buses and agricultural tractors. “This work, the responsibility of the municipality, enabled the installation of a pipe of suitable diameter. »
The renovation of the town hall meeting room was also a significant project, with the installation of energy-saving radiators, LED lighting, new tiling and a TV screen for projections. In addition to this work:
Two bowling greens were created behind the town hall, and the white stones of the corners and cornices were restored to restore the town hall to its original appearance.
These rehabilitations were subsidized up to 80% thanks to aid from the APCR and the DETR (Equipment allocation for rural areas).
Securing rue de la Courrière
The security of rue de la Courrière has been reinforced by the installation of two entrance doors and two chicanes to signal entry into the urban area and protect children, particularly near the school bus stop.
November 11th
Roger Havas also spoke of the success of the November 11 commemoration, which saw a large number of participants. Hiking circuit
The territory of Cingal-Suisse Normande now has 36 hiking trails. Roger Havas presented a circuit entitled Les Bois de Combray, with a distance of 5.7 km, which was validated by the CCCSN (Communauté de communes Cingal-Suisse Normande).
Combray Leisure and Culture Association
The Combray Loisirs et Culture association was also praised for its dynamism and its varied activities: sauerkraut evening, Halloween, Christmas decoration and a participatory meal at the end of the year. The mayor wanted to thank the entire team for their excellent work.
