Florian Gautier, candidate for season 2 of Married at First Sight, is a dad! In a moving Instagram post published on January 15, 2025, he reveals the first photos of his daughter, as well as her first name… very symbolic!
It was in 2017 that Florian Gautier made his entry into the French audiovisual landscape, in the show Married at first sight. In search of love, the southerner had thought he would find him alongside Emma, with whom he shared 76% love compatibility according to experts. However, after a few months of relationship which nevertheless suggested the best, the young spouses made the decision to divorce, as has often happened on the show. He has since shared his life with a new person, Megh, with whom he married in 2022. A love story that has just taken a new step!

In a post Instagram composed of three photos published on January 15, 2025, the former candidate of Married at first sight announces the big news: he became a dad! Under the first photo where we see him, all smiles, surrounded by his wife and his newborn, he writes: “A Tuesday like no other… (…) We weren’t lied to, it’s the most beautiful thing that can happen to us in life…”. The dad also shares two photos of his little one, which he named Mahault. An unusual first name, on which he explains: “[Maho] = ‘strength and fight’” he confided, before giving a little nod to the show that made him known: “A name that seemed obvious for our little miracle baby, with whom we fell in love at first sight”.
A revenge on life after difficult times
If Florian Gautier and his partner are enjoying this moment so much, it is partly because the path that led them to becoming parents was strewn with pitfalls. In a video dated June 30 available on his Instagram account, the young father describes the two difficult years that he and his partner experienced in order to have a child : “We dreamed of being able to in turn give life to a little being who would be the fruit of our love. (…) Unfortunately, life sometimes puts some difficulties in its path”. Without revealing too much, Florian Gautier also confides that his couple had to begin a PMA journey who, in his words: “will have united us forever”. A route strewn with obstacles which ends on a beautiful note, the birth of their little Mahault!
