Remember: last December, we told you about these residents of Baigneux-les-Juifs, a town of around 230 inhabitants, ready to do anything to find a new general practitioner after the departure of Dr Philippe Deschamps. For a year, they have tried everything: banners, reports, visits to the medical school… But nothing works. So this time, they wanted to strike hard.
On December 21, the date on which Dr. Philippe Deschamps closed his office, a little more than 80 residents gathered to film the last shot of a clip aimed at promoting the town. The full video was posted on YouTube on Sunday January 12… and it’s breathtaking!
“Come and take a trip to Baigneux”
“If you are a young doctor looking for a job for tomorrow, we can offer you nothing better than to come and work in Baigneux”, intone the singers on a cover of the song Lambé An Dro from Matmatah. Staging, choreography of firefighters, participation of traders, associations and farmers… Everyone has indeed bent over backwards to find the rare pearl through this musical clip which is full of praise for the quality of life in Baigneux-les-Juifs.
-On a more serious note, Dr. Philippe Deschamps speaks at the very end of the video: “No lie, Baigneux is great. I have never been happier than being a doctor in Baigneux. »
In our columns, a year ago, Philippe Deschamps explained that he takes care of “more than 1,600 patients who live within a radius of twenty-four kilometers”. “There are not enough doctors in France. The succession was not planned by the political world even though we had been sounding the alarm for quite some time,” he regretted.
