will not have had the opportunity to see Rita Mitsouko, at the height of her glory, swaying her hips on one of her stages. However, the Marian city will have the great pleasure of welcoming Catherine Ringer, at the initiative of Gespe who was able to include this highly anticipated event in its programming for the second part of the season. Catherine Ringer will therefore be on stage at the Espace Robert-Hossein next Tuesday. The artist will invite you to discover a unique work, that of Alice Mendelson, an astonishing woman, a poet publishing at the age of 95 her first poetic collection, “The Eroticism of Living”. Survivor of the Vél’d’Hiv’ roundup with her mother while her father perished in Auschwitz, joining the Resistance within the Free French Forces, Alice Mendelson threw away her words and rhymes for years to sing about life, to praise love, to stage erotic pleasures and fantasies. The poetic art of the one who, in the poem “At 93 years old, has fun living”, Catherine Ringer (whose father was a friend of Mendelson) invites us to listen to them, some spoken and accompanied on the piano by music by Grégoire Hetzel, others in songs composed with Mauro Gioia, who also directed the film.

Tuesday January 21, at 8:30 p.m., at Espace Robert-Hossein. Prices: €30 to €35. Reservations at 05.62.51.32.98.

Other highlights of the Gespe, the first steps on stage, let us specify, solo, of Sylvain Duthu. Initially scheduled for 2024, the Tarbais tour, freed for some time from its collaboration with Boulevard des Airs, will begin in March, and for its second date, Sylvain Duthu returns to his roots by taking the stage of the Tarbais SMAC. The opportunity for him to present the album he has just released, “3:22 p.m.” (title taking its name from a photo project that the artist has been carrying out for five years, consisting of taking a photo every day at 3:22 p.m.), an opus that he presents as a personal diary, the result of a reflection carried out following a car accident in 2021, an accident serious enough to turn the singer’s mind upside down, and encourage him to take up his pen again to think to the essential things, to the people he loves. The words are therefore tender, true and without affectation, animated by numerous musical colors which do not fail to possess catchy melodies. What you will have to come and check by pushing open the doors of Gespe.

Friday March 7, at 8:30 p.m., at La Gespe. Prices: €18 to €23.
