Lovers of Asian cuisine will be delighted with the arrival, on Route de Grenade near the town’s only traffic light, of a new establishment called Wok 888, the number reminiscent of infinity. Vanndy Tep and Samnang Cheng have joined forces to run the establishment, which opened on January 2, a first experience for the first, the second already being in the business through his family which owns several restaurants. They develop the concept of Asian cuisine in a modern decor, with a constant search for conviviality. The room is equipped with simple furniture and has a starry ceiling. Another nod to space, the toilets feature an impressive bas-relief moon. The restaurant offers revisited traditional dishes, sushi and rather Cambodian cuisine with grills and wok. The partners specify: “We also present an originality, quite unique in the sector, of tapas in an Asian version. We are going to put in place, little by little, projects such as opening at 7 a.m. for breakfasts, organizing event evenings (we let’s prepare a Latin/salsa evening for Saturday February 8 with a Spanish DJ) and, this summer, offer afterworks on our terrace, guinguette style.” For now, the bar-restaurant is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., then 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., midnight on weekends. At lunchtime, starter/main course or dessert course at €13.90, full set menu at €16.90, which changes every day.
