This Saturday, January 18, at 8 p.m., it’s blues on the program at the Fabrique à mots, in Paimpol. Cotton Phil’s is a duo of two musicians (bass/guitar) “fed with American music”. A repertoire that mixes the old and the modern, with covers of Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Blake, Reverend Gary Davis as well as Stefan Grossman, Jorma Kaukonen or the essential Eric Clapton. Cotton Phil’s also revisits and mixes a selection of folk standards from the late 1960s and early 1970s.
On Sunday, January 26, at 5 p.m., Flowing Forms will present a musical piece for hurdy-gurdy, cello and logelloop. After a week of work at Bruit qui court, in Penvénan, the Babil and Les Météores companies are joining forces with l’Image qui parole to present a show inspired by life, for a unique sound experience. “From the depths of the drones rises the polymelodic song of the strings to the light murmur of harmonics,” assures the Lyric Factory.
