Thursday, February 9 in the evening, at the Pierre-Guéguen high school, the second, first and final year students in plastic arts and art history invited parents and classmates to the opening of their exhibition entitled “Portrait material/Matière à portrait”.
Fully falling within the framework of their specific training, the students selected different works from the Pierre-Tal-Coat art library and gallery in Hennebont, and added their own creations on the theme. Design, hanging, production of the catalog: all stages were taken care of by the young people, who even, in addition to the classic cartridges, designed QR codes to explain each work. A lot of work and a significant investment praised by the principal Jérôme Girard.
All these varied contemporary creations form a very coherent whole illustrated by a formula put forward: “Knowledge is power”. Their teachers, Ms. Périgot-Boisson and Ms. Sanchez, are also delighted. “This experience allowed them to explore the essence of the individual, and to reflect on their representations”, they assure “The young people were also able to participate in the process of creating the Labsoma Company, and take an interest in ‘artificial intelligence. »
-Sculptures, paintings, photographs, installations and videos: nothing is missing from this original exhibition where the written word is also present, as through this quote from Paul Cézanne: “The material of our art is there, in what our eyes think », which undoubtedly inspired the protagonists.

Installed in the administrative building at the entrance to the establishment, the exhibition is visible until February 7.
