A survey published by Mediapartin September 2023, revealed that two ex-partners of Stéphane Plaza accused him of physical humiliation, domestic and psychological violence. Placed under judicial supervision, the real estate agent and facilitator was to be tried last Wednesday August 28 by the 10th chamber of the Paris Criminal Court for domestic violence. He ultimately did not appear at the hearing, and his lawyer explained that his client was suffering “severe depressive manifestations : massive anxiety, dark thoughts, sleep disturbance. The hearing was therefore postponed to January 9, and Stéphane Plaza appeared this time at the Paris Criminal Court. He was tried for “habitual violence against spouse” but the verdict of his judgment will not be known until February 18 at 1:30 p.m.
The prosecutor requests 18 months suspended prison sentence
In the meantime, we already know what the prosecutor requested against him, namely 18 months suspended prison sentence, a ban on contact with the victims for three years, a ban on carrying a weapon for five years and a fine of 10,000 euros. After this announcement, a completely different procedure was launched. Indeed, according to information from France Inter, the franchisees of its network of real estate agencies “feel wronged and consider it difficult now to use the image of Stéphane Plaza because of his trial for violence against two former companions“, reports Franceinfo.
A new procedure has been launched
It would be at least ten franchisees who have therefore launched a procedure to leave the network of Stéphane Plaza real estate agencies. “What they want today is to exit smoothly and be able to put up another sign because they are facing refusals of mandates, sellers who ask them to remove the signs for sale ‘Stéphane Plaza’ “explained Sarah Laassir, a lawyer specializing in real estate law and franchisee law, in charge of these files. Our colleagues from Franceinfo have finished specifying that in total, “the Stéphane Plaza real estate agency network has 655 franchisees”. “For the moment, no comments have been made by the M6 group which owns 51% of the network,” we could read.
