At the helm of this competition is a jury of professionals, composed this year of Bruno Cormerais, Noëmie Honiat and Michel Sarran. These, for the twelfth edition, will once again travel through ’s bakeries.

By stopping for a whole week between Landes and Béarn, from January 20 to 24. Well, especially in Béarn, because of the 10 candidate bakeries, seven are from Béarn.

As a reminder, each program corresponds to a duel between two businesses, through four tests: the product tasted in store, the favorite product, the signature bread and the jury challenge.

The duels program

On January 20, “Temptations et mignardises”, the bakery of Thierry and Ylann in Navailles-Angos and “Origine”, the bakery of Mathieu and Enzo in Lons, will open the ball.

January 21 will see “Reizabal”, the bakery of Sébastien and Angela in Monein and “A noste”, the bakery of Pierre and Sarah in Arthez-de-Béarn.

The next day, January 22, it will be the turn of “Pain de sel”, the bakery of Marie-Ange and Séverine in Salies-de-Béarn, which will have to win against a Landes bakery.

The following day, January 23, return to a Béarn-Béarnais duel, between “La Vallée du Pain”, the bakery of Grégory and Maxime in Laruns, and “Aux Délices du ”, the bakery of Damien and Mathias in Billère.

Finally, on January 24, a Landes bakery will face a Basque bakery.

For the record, it was the bakery Grangé which won, in 2023, the 10th edition. A success that will no doubt be imitated by his fellow Béarnais bakers.

Several have already competed since the creation of the show. Without doubtless being exhaustive, we can remember the Maison Chaudron in Artix, also in 2023, the Lauraline bakery in Louvie-Juzon and the Adiiou bakery in Pau in 2021, the Fromentier de Nay and the Copains d’abord of Billère in 2017 or the Navarrine bakeries in Ogeu and Constanti in Lanne-en-Barétous in 2015.
