“The Substance”, directed by Coralie Fargeat and starring American actress Demi Moore, is a dramatic film which tells the story of the discovery of a mysterious substance capable of transforming the lives of human beings. The plot follows several characters, each confronted with this substance which seems to offer a solution to their personal problems, but which reveals unexpected consequences.
“Filming in Cannes is not a trivial choice. Given the economic and image interest of hosting filming, we have set up an action to canvass and welcome film crews. The results are there. Since 2014, Cannes Town Hall has led a proactive policy of hosting filming in order to place cinema as a pillar of its attractiveness, its economy and its cultural excitement.
As part of the “Cannes on Air” program, initiated in 2014 by the Cannes Town Hall, under the leadership of David Lisnard, a dynamic municipal policy is implemented to facilitate and centralize administrative procedures linked to filming authorizations and use of the public domain.
