Following WWE’s big premiere on Netflix, if there was anything the industry was waiting for it was the numbers.
Was the first WWE RAW on Netflix a success? The numbers were still not available until today as Netflix was still working to tally the results.
Today, WWE and Netflix announced via press release that WWE RAW will premiere on Netflix on January 6, 2025. accumulated 4.9 million views around the world for its first day of broadcast Monday evening. Only in the United States the show was watched across 2.6 million households. An excellent comparison if we think that in 2024, RAW averaged 1.2 million in the United States. On the other hand, it is difficult to make a direct comparison because USA Network and Netflix do not have the same accounting system.
The number of views was calculated based on the total hours of the program viewed divided by its duration. And it should be noted that the calculation does not take into account the 92 countries where WWE on Netflix is not yet officially available such as in France, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Japan and others.
-The next few weeks and other WWE shows on Netflix like SmackDown, NXT and PLE will be ones to watch. We must not forget that every week, Netflix publishes the top 10 series with the most views, so if WWE manages to rank in this top 10, the audiences will be available every week.
