It is 9 a.m. when the five young girls meet in front of the Cornish theater in Quimper (Finistère) Tuesday January 7, 2025. The rain, wind and cold will not stop them. Selected by a team from the establishment, Amandine Mirey, Marilou Braux, Agathe Hello, Manwéla Jaouen and Manon Cadiou are in charge of thedressing from outside the building. And this, on the occasion of Cirnovaa festival which will be held from January 11 to February 2, 2025, in Quimper and its surroundings.
A first in their journey
The students are in the second year of DNMAD, national diploma in art and design professionsin high school The Paraclete. They will sign the decoration of the theater. A first in their journey.
“We have been carrying out this project since September. We created the model, made quotes, called the suppliers. We had to check that everything fell within the budget set by the theater: 1000 euros. We started cutting in December so that everything would be ready for installation. »

For security reasons, the team technique of the Cornouaille theater will supervise and provide support to the five students until the inauguration of the artistic installation, Friday January 10.
A partnership with the Cornouaille theater
This project comes from a partnership with the theater. The selection was carried out in November by the jury of the establishment.
“The theater team wanted these to be creations made up of diverted, eco-responsible everyday objects from French companies. »
An exhibition, installed in the theater passageway, retraces the main stages of this project through the presentation of models and graphic boards from the students.
DNMAD students from Le Paraclet high school will also collaborate with The Qiffa festival which will take place in February and for which a group has already been selected to create the signage. Two projects aimed at professionalize the students “who will be required to work in events later”, declares the teacher responsible for supporting the students, Sandrine Jérome.
