The Hospital Foundation launches the 36th edition of the Yellow Pieces, from January 8 to February 8, 2025, to help hospitalized children and adolescents. The official launch of this new edition will take place in . With a festive event at La Poste then at the CHU, in the presence of the operation’s partners and guest artists from the “Génération Cadeaux Jaunes” collective to celebrate the start of the campaign.

At the supermarket checkout, in post offices or at the hairdresser, the little yellow cardboard boxes are therefore making a comeback for the “Yellow Coins” operation. In 36 years, nearly 10,000 projects could be financed throughout . Including 169 new projects in 2024, indicates the Hospital Foundation on its website.

It mainly concerns projects in favor of hospitalized children and adolescents, but also elderly people in nursing homes. In recent years, the money from the collection has notably enabled the creation of a teen center at the Nîmes University Hospital, a daycare dedicated to brothers and sisters of hospitalized children in Necker, of a family house in , of a baby-mom well-being area in the cancer center of the Gustave Roussy Institute in or the creation ofa therapeutic climbing wall in a pediatric follow-up care and rehabilitation facility.

To make a contribution, it’s very simple: you can even collect your own yellow box from the post Office of your choice. All you then have to do is fill it with coins – whatever their value (from one cent to two euros) – and then take it back to the post office. The foundation has also set up online donation systems, by check or by telephone.
