Novak, 26, has just been named the ECHL’s MVP of the week after scoring eight points in four games between December 30 and January 5. He also maintained a differential of +8 during this sequence.
Already, last season, the Ontarian was the Lions’ top scorer with 56 points, including 30 goals, in 66 games. He was then entitled to a two-game stay with the Rocket during this campaign.
Since the start of this season, Novak has now totaled 28 points in 23 games, having contributed to the Lions’ extraordinary 21-4-4 record.
