At a time when the trend of no low brings together more and more consumers, the Parisian palace bar is integrating a series of signature mocktails into its menu.
Non-alcoholic cocktails inspired by the lunar calendar
Health, cultural or religious considerations: according to a Statista study, 28% of French people consumed so-called drinks last year. no lowi.e. without or with low alcohol content. A figure which would rise to more than 50% among 18-34 year olds.
Enough to encourage gastronomy players to strengthen their offerings to respond to these new consumption patterns. While the Hôtel de Crillon inaugurated its alcohol-free pairing sessions last year, it is the turn of the Ritz Paris to integrate four new mocktails into its bar menu. An initiative signed by head bartender Romain de Courcy who was inspired here by the four elements and their concordance with the lunar calendar.
So, if you are a fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) perhaps you will find a particular resonance in the “Fruit” cocktail and its score around white grapefruit, clarified coconut milk, Madagascar vanilla and fruit of the passion.
If you are Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces, the “Leaf” could inspire you with its composition inspired by water: mint, aloe vera, blue spirulina, patchouli and blackcurrant bud.
Air signs could be found in “Flower” (rose, geranium, lychee flower honey, hibiscus and propolis), as well as the aptly named “Root” (ginger, turmeric, licorice, vetiver, Ginger Ale) was designed for earth signs. So many proposals which are part of the increasingly marked appetite for well-being, whether it concerns the consumption of alcohol-free products or matching astrological.
Launched these days, the 0% cocktails of the Ritz Paris should be installed on the bar menu well beyond the month of January and continue throughout the rest of the year.
