The Casino team has chosen this week to present the film “My inseparable”.
Anne-Sophie Bailly’s first feature film, this drama delicately explores the relationship between Mona, a single mother, and Joël, her son with a mild mental disability. Their family balance is upset when Joël announces that his girlfriend, Océane, also with a disability, is pregnant. This upheaval forces Mona to confront her fears while redefining family ties. Carried by remarkable performances, notably that of Laure Calamy in the role of Mona, the film shines with its authenticity and its humanity. Charles Peccia-Galletto and Julie Froger also bring great depth to their roles. The staging avoids melodrama and favors an intimate approach, treating complex subjects such as disability and emancipation with sensitivity.
Acclaimed by critics and audiences, “My Inseparable” is hailed for its realistic and moving portrayal of the challenges of disability and parenthood. This work, touching and thoughtful, marks a promising entry for Anne-Sophie Bailly into the cinematographic landscape.
The film will be shown today at 8:30 p.m., tomorrow at 8:30 p.m., Saturday at 4:30 p.m., Sunday at 11 a.m. and Monday at 9 p.m.
