How many filming events took place in the Pays de Retz in 2024?

The Filming Reception Office: The 2024 report will be final at the end of January 2024. We can already say that we will have a slight decrease in the number of days of filming – but 2023 was exceptionally dense – going from more than 380 to 350 days of filming.

How many are planned for 2025? 2026?

– Filming is currently planned for January – February 2025, but nothing is fixed yet (we will be able to say a little more in January) and above all, we are subject to the confidentiality of projects in preparation.

Are the majority of filmings hosted and planned for television series? Or cinema?

– In 2024, more TV series (Joseph et Mademoiselle Holmes seasons 2 for TF1, RAM for M6 and The Seasons for Arte), but also three feature films shot on the Loire-Atlantique and Vendée coasts (Trial by fire, My will be done et Differentwhich will probably be released in 2025).

Is there a big project planned soon?

– Important filming planned for the start of the year, but rather for the Maine-et-Loire and the Vendée.

Do you receive a lot of requests? For what types of location (seaside, retro coastline, etc.)?

– We work to attract new shoots constantly and help between 130 and 150 shoots per year.

All types of places are requested: we are sometimes asked about “nuggets” (beautiful house on the seafront for example, isolated beach, etc.), “generic” ones (beautiful house, manor, administrative building), about processes (which contact for authorization to film on this or that public setting)…

Are there a lot of requests for filming in private homes? Businesses?

– Yes, very often we have requests to search for private houses or companies : they can also register their property or filming location themselves in the Film France national filming location database (administered locally by the Filming Reception Office).

In addition, we have written guides for owners so that they can read the complete terms and conditions.

Recent examples: The Pampaby Antoine Chevrollier, filmed at Longué Jumelles (Maine-et-Loire), which will be released on February 5, 2025 (and selected at Cannes in 2024).
