Miss 2025, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, victim of cyberharassment: “I shield myself, but I have a family”

Since her coronation last December, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss 2025, has suffered a wave of criticism and insults online. She denounced this harassment and shared the repercussions on those close to her.

Elected Miss France 2025 on December 14 at Futuroscope in , Angélique Angarni-Filopon, 34, is the target of numerous attacks on social networks.

His age, his hairstyle and even his skin color were mocked or criticized. Faced with this wave of hateful comments, the Miss France Society quickly took a position.

In a press release published on December 20, its president, Frédéric Gilbert, condemned these comments, recalling that harassment is punishable by law: “These offensive comments have no place in our competition, nor in our company, and will all be reported to the appropriate authorities.

“The Misses are expensive”

On the set of the show “What an era!“, broadcast on Saturday evening, Angélique Angarni-Filopon spoke about the harassment of which she is a victim: “I unfortunately read them, because I want to block. I no longer want these people to have access to my direct account.

However, she is especially worried about her family, and especially her young nephews: “I shield myself. In the West Indies, they say: ‘My heart is armored.’ But my nephews are not necessarily. My oldest nephew is 13 years old. It’s very young.”

The young woman also denounced the uninhibited attitude of certain Internet users: “I find it sad to take so much comfort in telling someone that you don’t love them. […] I would never say to someone on the street, ‘I don’t like your hat.’ Because I don’t care.

Comedian Baptiste Lecaplain, also invited, echoed these comments: “They will never do it in the street, that’s the point of social networks.” An opinion shared by Miss France 2025: “Exactly. And it’s a bit cowardly, which is a shame. The Misses are expensive.

A recurring problem

Unfortunately, Angélique Angarni-Filopon is not the first Miss France to undergo such treatment. Her predecessor, Ève Gilles, Miss France 2024, had been harassed for her haircut and her physique.

Angélique remains determined to raise public awareness of this issue: “People need to understand that their words have consequences, not just for me, but for those around me.

To support the beauty queen and make an impression, the Miss France committee is committed to reporting all offensive comments to the competent authorities.
