A friend and a guitar, that’s how Creusotin Omar Hoggas’ musical adventure began, at the age of 22. “I strummed my first notes on a friend’s guitar. Something immediately happened, the magic of music,” confides Chicco Ochimar, his artist name. He learned the pieces by ear and developed a unique style, mixing covers of great French classics and international gems of variety and folk.
Intermittent for twenty years
An intermittent performer for around twenty years, the musician traveled all over France to land contracts in restaurants and campsites in the south of France. Then he worked for 20 years in the nuclear industry. For eight months, his dark hat between Borsalino and cowboy, and his electro-acoustic guitar, have been back in action.
“I really feel like I’m bringing happiness”
And it opened up to a new audience. “In nursing homes (accommodation establishments for dependent elderly people), I really have the impression of bringing happiness. Some listen, others sing. » His repertoire of Renaud, Cabrel and Aznavour is perfectly suited.
A versatile and mobile artist, Chicco also offers private concerts in people’s homes, continues to play in bars and restaurants and has all the equipment to host weddings, birthdays, etc. And to expand his audience, he is considering collaboration with an agent.
