Marthe Vassallo, one of the great voices of the current Breton sceneparticipates in all kinds of encounters between Breton music and world music: jazz or rock. She leads a double life as an opera singer.
Philippe Ollivierhe combines his experience as a musician with his bandoneon, his accordions or his samples, a solid sound engineer experience.
Both created Bugel Koar: the wax child, the doll of enchantment… in 1997. Recognized traditional Breton musicians and eclectic artists, they bring lessons from their very diverse experiences into their creations.
Breton music? Yes, in fact. But above all, the music itself, magical, overwhelming and crazy. By naturally integrating into a universe of original compositions what is most visceral and most communicative of tradition, by adding an extraordinary fantasy and passion: theirs.
This show? “A simple concert where everything is allowed: samples and tinkered instruments, confidences, deadpan humor, musical and dance improvisations, program according to the mood of the day…” warns Leùiné, director of cultural equipment at Pass’ time.
This concert of the month will be given at Le Pass’temps on Friday January 10 at 8:30 p.m.
