Real Madrid: Luka Modric and Jude Bellingham save theirs from a surprise defeat!

Real Madrid were very hot! In a late match of the 12th day of La Liga between Valencia and the White House, the Merengue miraculously took over the red lantern of the Spanish championship. In the first half, it was the locals who were the most dangerous. Thibaut Courtois had to intervene on numerous occasions to avoid a real disaster for his family. But before the half-hour mark, the Belgian wall collapsed following a superb movement from the Valenciens, concluded by Hugo Duro. And the residents of Mestella held on before giving in at the very end of the match!

Luka Modrić and Jude Bellingham become saviors!

In the second half, Real Madrid regained the upper hand over their evening opponent. Kylian Mbappé obtained a penalty which could have allowed the White House to pick up the score. But Jude Bellingham hit the left post of Stole Dimitrievski, the replacement for Giorgi Mamardashvili, usual holder in the post. And a few minutes later, the former Saint-Germain man thought he had done the hard part by equalizing in favor of the Merengue on an offering from the England international. But his goal was disallowed for being offside by a few centimeters. Frustrating.

And in the 80th minute of play, Vinicius, absent from the proceedings, saw red after a very bad gesture on the Valencia goalkeeper. The Brazilian winger even had to be taken off the field by Antonio Rüdiger because he was so furious. Time for Carlo Ancelotti to bring the inevitable Luka Modrić into play. And barely four minutes after his appearance, the 39-year-old midfielder allowed his team to catch up with a magnificent action from the Merengue. Tireless. And on a completely avoidable defensive error from Valencia, Jude Bellingham made up for it and allowed Real Madrid to snatch victory at 10 against 11. At the end of added time, Rioja hit the bar with a splendid strike. Thus, the club from the Spanish capital regains its throne at the top of La Liga. The White House has made us special again!
