Saturday January 11, from 2 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Breton and Occitan cultures will make common cause at the Balavoine space, through song, dance and folklore. “Lo Fabulous hest’noz” (the fabulous night party), to be attributed to the Breizh 64 association and the Occitan association Tiss’liens, invites fans of these two cultures to spend a moment of sharing unique, festive and friendly.
The six groups present, M’braïa (Occitan), Planchée (Haute Bretagne), Duo Blain-Leyzour (Nantais region), Espartenhas (Béarnais de Pau), Pezh’fall (Bretons from the Barétous valley) and the ephemeral formation Huec & Breizh projects, will in turn ignite the stage or perform in the room to become one with the audience.
Mixture of cultures
“We wanted to mix these cultures because many things bring them together,” explains Sylvie Lacoste, one of the organizers of the Breton association. Although the event takes place at the end of the holidays, we hope to motivate the strong Breton colony in the great South-West. As for our Occitan friends, they demonstrated their strong capacity for mobilization at each of their meetings. »
On the program, opening at 2 p.m. with the Huec & Breizh project group where Gascon and Breton musicians will be associated.
