He is at the origin of truly iconic shoes: the “slim” sandal with the fishbone jewel that we saw in Sex and the Citythe heelless wedge called “Adele”, which he created for Lady Gaga, or the graphic “Pyramid” created for Beyoncé and worn by Mary J. Blige and Jennifer Lopez. All of Giuseppe Zanotti’s creations have a little extra glam touch. Starting with one of his first “jeweled sandals” called “The Ring” which made him famous more than twenty years ago.
It is also the one that is reissued in a capsule collection for the 30th anniversary of the brand: “More than just a shoe, the “Ring” is for me a manifesto,” comments Giuseppe. It perfectly embodies my philosophy which consists of highlighting the foot rather than hiding it. The ultra-thin strap has a nude effect, while the jeweled ring embellishes the foot. »

Born near Rimini, in Emilia-Romagna, a region specializing in shoe manufacturing, Giuseppe was first a DJ before working as a freelancer for shoemaker Vincini and Roberto Cavalli. He created his brand in 1994 and presented it in New York: success was immediate. He becomes the designer who excels in “jeweled shoe”.
Zanotti also makes men’s shoes, notably with couture sneakers that delight music stars. In addition to shoes, he creates bags and ready-to-wear pieces for men. Its spring-summer 2025 collection is called “The thought of luxury” : the creator concentrates on the artisanal side of the creation.
