Northern lights. This is what was observed this Wednesday 1is January in Neulise, Lony Jouin, a young amateur photographer aged 20, passionate and specialized in the observation of natural and meteorological phenomena such as storms and the Northern Lights.
2025 risks holding other surprises
To be able to observe them, it monitors solar activity daily via “My Aurora Forecast”. Then you need clear, cloudless skies towards the north, and be patient, because the auroras come in waves and are not predictable. You should therefore not hesitate to wait, despite the cold of winter, as is often the case for Lony, when he shoots snow and frost in the hills around Neulise.

Since the age of 15, Lony has traveled to the Loire and, more recently, around Clermont-Ferrand and Puy de Sancy to photograph landscapes and storms. A great enthusiast, around photography he finds serenity and a moment of relaxation to go for a walk and observe the wonders of nature.
The sun, still at peak activity, is likely to have new surprises in store for us and portends a year 2025 favorable to the auroras in France!
