There will be many concerts in Marseille in 2025. From Jul to Bruce Springsteen via Lenny Kravitz, Pierre Garnier and Franglish: overview of the shows planned in the Marseille city.
The year promises to be musical in Provence. Numerous concerts are planned throughout the year throughout Bouches-du-Rhône and particularly in Marseille, where the Vélodrome stadium attracts more and more artists.
UFO fans will also be back in the famous venue of the Marseille city on May 24, while Jul will perform an exceptional new concert for which tickets sold out in just a few minutes. The Marseille rapper had already performed at the Orange Vélodrome in June 2022, a show during which he notably composed a song live with his fans.
A plethora of rappers are also expected at the Vélodrome: the group IAM on June 28, Alonzo on July 19 or even Soprano on October 11. Besides rap, David Guetta will be present on June 21 and the singer Ed Sheeran June 6 and 7.
A “mythology around Marseille”
Another international figure who will perform at the Vélodrome in 2025: Bruce Springsteen. “The Boss”, who had to cancel his 2024 concert due to loss of voice”, will be on stage on May 31 “to give you the show of your life”.
The Orange Vélodrome seems to be increasingly becoming, like the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, the new stronghold of concerts in France.
“There is also all this mythology around Marseille which makes certain artists want to spend an evening or two there,” analyzes Steven Bellery, head of the culture department at BFMTV.
“Jul is at home, David Guetta is French and wants to go there. Then Bruce Springsteen who will be at the Vélodrome this year. He is probably attracted by a sort of legend around the city, this big stadium. There are also artists who are football fans and this stadium resonates with them,” he explains.
Lenny Kravitz at the Dôme de Marseille
In addition to the Vélodrôme, the Dôme de Marseille will welcome many artists, notably Lenny Kravitz next April 3. There are still a few places left for latecomers.
French-speaking side: Vitaa will be present on February 1st, will be born February 5, Clara Luciani March 27, Eddy De Pretto on April 5, Franglish April 19, Kyo the 30th, Michel Polnareff on June 4 but also Lara Fabian on October 19. Two alumni of the Star Academy, Pierre Garnierthe winner of season 11, and Hélena will be in concert on April 29 and November 27 respectively.
