Fireworks on December 31, 2024: a look back in pictures

Tuesday, December 31, 2024, nearly 1.5 million people flocked to the Champs-Élysées to greet the beautiful year 2024 which is coming to an end, and to joyfully celebrate the arrival of 2025. Photo album of a enchanted evening!

Braving the winter cold of December, nearly 1.5 million night owls gathered all along the Champs-Élysées (8e) to say goodbye to 2024 and welcome 2025 in a good mood!

Broadcast live on Télévisions and on screens installed along the famous avenue, the evening was followed by 6.7 million people. The video mapping show, launched ten minutes before the traditional countdown, was a beautiful tribute to Parisian architecture with a touching nod to the Notre-Dame Cathedral, newly inaugurated a few weeks ago, after five long years of heavy work.

After the ten-second countdown, the big fireworks took over. To an exclusively feminine soundtrack (France Gall, Clara Luciani, etc.), the Arc de Triomphe sparkled with a thousand lights in the sky. A sublime spectacle to (re)see in photos. Very happy new year 2025!
