First, by inviting you to the general meeting of Country Rebel’s boots, its president Fabienne, suggests showing up with an ugly sweater. The tone is set.
The members therefore arrived dressed in these original sweaters because they can only be worn during Christmas time but not ugly at all when we love the period!
Then, the president, wearing her cowgirl hat garnished with a red pompom, remains serious to report on the progress of the country year in the presence of Christophe Guinedor. The treasurer, Alain Mutti is absent, against his will.
Fabienne, thanks the town hall for the loan of the room in which classes take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Mondays.
She greets her members, numbering 30, who pay a subscription of €50 for the year. The lessons went smoothly. The problem arose due to the impossibility of organizing balls due to the work leading to the Pennavian Hall. The association made two outings: one to the Château de Monbazillac and the other to visit the water lily garden of the Tour Marliac. The president takes care to point out that these outings are not expensive.
In place of the treasurer, Fabienne lists the accounts:
Purchase of a sound system and microphone, amount of €284 for SACEM, insurance costs, outing, galette des rois… Income comes from contributions, the sale of t-shirts… The financial results are positive.
The projects:
The room is now available, two balls are scheduled: Sunday March 9 and October 5, 2025. The president submits an idea for an outing to Albertville in Savoie. More accessible, it evokes an outing in Milandes, in the Dordogne or even a museum to go back in time…
Question to the town hall: could the town hall cover the costs of SACEM? The deputy mayor promises to find out before being able to respond.
Discussions with members: would an additional course interest them? To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the association, bring a group?
These questions would undoubtedly be debated during the sumptuous buffet prepared by the members who, happy in this joyful club, will dance between bites.
