At the end of December afternoon and evening, the Les Pradels nursing home celebrated its 30th anniversary in a festive and friendly atmosphere. From 2:30 p.m., the yurt of the Reissa social and cultural center welcomed around twenty residents of the nursing home, accompanied by relatives, elected officials from the municipality and members of the CCAS of Assier. Brigitte Arnoux, director of Pradels with her management and entertainment team, mayor Maxime Hug and Jean Lafon, former mayor of Assier, were notably present.
It is “essential to celebrate so many years of work”
Four actors, singers and musicians, from the talented company Là où nous suis, offered a complete show for an hour, entitled “Un cabaret”. With the support of the solid technical team of Pool Prod, made up of Bruno and Tom, they came on stage to sing, dance, mime, perform an extraordinary magic trick… The assembly could only be captivated, carried away by multiple emotions in the atmosphere of this strange, mischievous and nostalgic cabaret.
At the end of the show, the mayor of Assier congratulated the theater troupe. He then underlined how essential it was to celebrate so many years of work to ensure that alumni found a warm and high-quality environment at Les Pradels. He thanked all the elected officials, and particularly Jean Lafon, who worked to ensure that this municipal institution was born and continued over these thirty years, all the staff of the Ehpad, Brigitte Arnoux, its director since 1998, and all his team, for their permanent commitment and the work carried out.
Maxime Hug assured that successive municipalities have been and will be keen to ensure the sustainability of the nursing home.
Guy Réveillac, member of the board of directors of Pradels for more than ten years, retraced the history of the creation and development of the nursing home. He praised the courage and will of the elected officials of the time, including of course Jean Lafon, who supported and supported the birth of this Mapad, originally associative.

This thirty-year anniversary of the Les Pradels d’Assier nursing home is part of a constant dynamic which will see in 2025 the advancement of the project to improve and expand this establishment built on essential human and social values.
