the essential
Musicians and choristers from the Plaisance-du-Gers music school once again delighted the public during this event.
The Plaisance-du-Gers music school offered its traditional performance of the Sainte-Cécile concert on December 7 at the multipurpose hall, with no less than 106 musicians and choristers who participated in the celebration. The Cadet orchestra played four pieces beautifully, thanks to the seriousness it has shown during rehearsals since the start of the school year.
Carried by the dynamism of its choir director Isabelle Tachousin, the choir, which has an increasing number of members, was able to make the informed public appreciate all the four-part technical work that was carried out.
Harmony with the stick
After having hosted the Sunday mass of Maubourguet on December 1st, a town with many musicians in its music stands, the harmony, composed of around fifty musicians and directed by Philippe Labérou, offered a varied program as at its usual, so as to satisfy all listeners. Original music, film music, rock and variety music, pieces with soloist… Sandra Cugini and Ayu Lanusse were particularly remarkable during their performance on a famous piece by Astor Piazzola.
The finale around the theme of Christmas brought together all the musicians and choristers on stage, bringing this Sainte-Cécile 2024 concert to a grand close.
The artists actively participated in the installation and tidying up of the concert hall, once again demonstrating a great state of mind dear to the Plaisance-du-Gers music school.
An appointment is already given to all music lovers on March 1, 2025, on the occasion of his end-of-course concert in Cahuzac. Further information on this subject will be communicated at a later date.
