Hudo du Ruel was not unknown on the Côte d’Azur, having already provided good values there a few seasons ago. Now under the rule of Nicolas Ensch, the son of Timo did not miss his return to the Riviera by winning for his first outing with his new mentor. After a good run behind the leaders, given by an inspired Romain Derieux, author of a three-pointer this Saturday in Cagnes, Hudo du Ruel pleasantly lies down to dominate Ideal San Leandro. “It hasn’t gone well so far for the coach, so I’m happy to save his day, jokes Romain Derieux upon his return to the scales. He had a great race and knows how to sprint hard when he can be preserved.” Nicolas Ensch praised the work of his previous coach: “The horse arrived home only a fortnight ago. It arrived in very good condition and we must therefore salute the work of Antoine Lhérété because I have not invented anything since. His driver made the difference today.” Björn Goop made the trip and was not disappointed to be beaten at the end with Ideal San Leandrowhich is not unworthy after having had to travel with your nose in the wind: “I couldn’t take the lead and I stood outside the presenter.
