Karima Charni is the conductor of the after-party of the Star Academy, every Saturday on TF1. The former talent show candidate spoke to the podcast The Click(s) on the complicity that has reigned between her and Nikos Aliagas for twenty years now. Better yet, he doesn’t hesitate to give her advice!
Between her and Nikos, it’s a meeting of destiny! In 2004, when she was spotted during a karaoke evening with friends in the Capital to join season 4 of the Star Academy, Karima Charni never imagined that his life would now take place in the spotlight. Five weeks after her arrival, the one who was extremely close to Grégory Lemarchal, leaves the competition with her head full of dreams. But not the ones we imagine! “When I left, I told myself that I didn’t want to be a singer, I wanted to be Nikos!” Karima Charni slips us into the microphone Click(s). But the young presenter has a series of contracts, channels and radio stations, sometimes reaching a point of no return: “I sometimes thought it was the end of a dream”, she confided to us. But Karima Charni has always been able to count on the good advice of her “television dad”, a certain Nikos Aliagas.

This is a microphone from the new podcast of Télé-Loisirs, Le Déclic(s), that Karima Charni confided in her sometimes laborious beginnings, but also her complexes. “I never thought I was very pretty, I was always comparing myself to others,” explains Karima Charni, moved. In 2022, she won the place of co-host of the Star Academy, alongside Nikos Aliagas. And the latter will immediately take her under his wing: “He’s someone who supports me and who always has a word for me on prime time, that touches me. You don’t have many hosts who do that for their co-host. He’s like an uncle who is proud of his niece, like a big brother who is proud of his little sister and it’s so cute. It also shows the person he is, and that I didn’t miss out.” Explain Karima Charni.

Asked about the role that Nikos Aliagas plays in her place as a host on the small screen, Karima Charni tells us that he never misses an opportunity to give her some advice: “Do you want a secret? We debrief right after the Prime every Saturday, we have a little talk. We talk to each other, we debrief everything, how everything happened, how each person felt about the other, etc. We’ll talk directly afterwards.” she explains. And to conclude with tenderness about his mentor: “We try to see each other outside when we can. But we talk all the time, we’re always connected to each other. I love my Nikos so much.”
