Why did you accept then? “I realized that maybe I should give it a go, precisely because it scared me. I asked my 18-year-old daughter what she thought about it, and if she would be ashamed of me. She replied: ‘Not at all! You have to do it!’ I also had the approval of my son, who is 20 years old. I also said to myself that it would be funny for French viewers to find out. themselves if, in addition to being a good plumber, Mike Delfino also knew how to dance. James Denton is still paying the price for his time in DALS
Invited to a Christmas Con round table moderated by a journalist from the magazine Peoplethe actor spoke about his experience alongside Candice Pascal. He first explained that he “pay again” for his participation in the TF1 program after training “for almost four months”. He confided: “It was a huge adventure, but both my knees are completely destroyed. I’m still trying to recover but it was really fun, and the people were really nice”. The actor was first afraid before launching into the DALS parking lot, as he admitted. “My heart was beating so hard. I felt like a little kid… It was exciting, but really scary”he admitted. Having remained in the competition for six weeks, he explained: “I just didn’t want to get knocked out in the first or second week. I wanted to stay for a while.”.
He refused to participate in the American version
Before agreeing to take part in the casting of season 13 of the French version of DALS, James Denton had been courted by the American version. So why not choose to play at home? “I would never have done the show here, because I’m not a dancer”he replied. And to specify: “I was asked to participate in Dancing with the Stars in France several times, because Desperate Housewives had a huge success there, and I never even thought about it”.
