Retrospective 2024 (6/9): death of two figures of Jura culture

Two key figures in Jura culture passed away in 2024. The autonomist poet Alexandre Voisard died on the night of November 14 to 15. Born in 1930 in Porrentruy, the honorary citizen of Fontenais wrote around fifty collections during his life. He was also a member of the Jura Rally from its founding, when he was only 17 years old. The writer Bernard Comment, son of the painter Jean-François Comment, another figure of Jura culture, paid tribute to the Jura poet on our antenna. He notably returned to the career of Alexandre Voisard who left his mark on the region, and even more.

La Castou also passed away at the age of 75. The French-Montagnard actress had notably danced in variety shows with Claude Nougaro, Serge Gainsbourg and Gall. She also distinguished herself by winning the Gold Medal for Song in 1975. She died on March 27. On the occasion of the publication of her biography in 2021, she returned to our antenna on her years spent in Franches-Montagnes.

In particular, she opened a dance school there which had enjoyed great success for more than 30 years. /mmt
