As 2024 draws to a close, 2025 already promises to be full of new musical releases. From Lady Gaga to Damso via The Weeknd and Lana Del Rey, an overview of the most anticipated albums in the coming months.
• “Look Up” – Ringo Starr (10 janvier)
Ringo Starr finally makes his comeback after 6 years of absence. The former member of the Beatles will unveil the album on January 10 Look Upan 11-track disc with country sounds.
To accompany this release, the artist, who recently joined his Beatles sidekick Paul McCartney on stage, will perform live on January 14 and 15, 2025 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
• “Balloonerism” – Mac Miller (January 17)
Mac Miller’s second posthumous album after Circles unveiled in 2020, Balloonerism had been imagined in 2014 by the rapper, who died in 2018 at the age of 26, but had never seen the light of day.
Having remained in the shadows for more than 10 years, this project, considered too experimental by Mac Miller’s label at the time of its conception, will finally see the light of day on January 17. A way for the artist’s rights holders to pay tribute to him.
“It was a project dear to Malcolm, and he wanted it to see the light of day. His creativity and audacity deserve to be shared with the world,” they explained in a press release.
• “Hurry Up Tomorrow” – The Weeknd (24 janvier)
After After Hours et Dawn FM The Weeknd closes his creative trilogy started in 2020 with his new album Hurry Up Tomorrow, the first three tracks of which have already been revealed: São Paulo with Anitta, Timeless with Playboi Carti and Dancing in the Flames.
This sixth project by the Canadian artist will also be accompanied by a psychological thriller which will bring together actors Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan on screen. A theatrical release has been announced in the United States.
• Michel Polnareff (February 28)
Seven years later Finally!Michel Polnareff is back with a new album. The 80-year-old artist will unveil this project, the name of which we still do not know, on February 28. A first single, called Sexceterahas already been posted online.
To accompany this album, Michel Polnareff will also return to the stage for his “last tour”, scheduled for 2025. It will begin on April 3 at the Apollo Theater in London before continuing at the Printemps de Bourges and the Accor Arena in Paris, in June, then throughout France, Belgium and Switzerland.
• “LG7” – Lady Gaga (during February)
After his duet Die With a Smile with Bruno Mars and his performance in the film Joker: Folie à DeuxLady Gaga is preparing to make her musical comeback with a new album LG7.
The artist who performed during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games unveiled a first extract from this new record on October 30, called Disease. If the specific release date of LG7 is still unknown, the singer said on the sidelines of the Venice festival in September that her new record would see the light of day in February 2025.
• “The Right Person Will Stay” – Lana Del Rey (21 mai)
Two years after the release of Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean BlvdLana Del Rey will make her return on May 21 with her 10th studio album, The Right Person Will Stay.
For this album Lana Del Rey collaborated with Luke Laird and his sister, photographer Caroline Grant, but also with Jack Antonoff, hit maker for Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar, and Drew Erickson, who had already worked on her previous album.
The release of The Right Person Will Stay will be accompanied by a tour in 2025 which will include the United Kingdom and Ireland. Lana Del Rey is also scheduled to perform at the Stagecoach festival in California on April 25.
• “Beyah” – Damso (30 May)
After a break in his career and the release of his album I liedthe Belgian rapper will be back in May 2025 with a new project, Beyah. Announced more than two years ago, this album should be, according to the artist, the last of his career.
• “Something Beautiful” – Miley Cyrus (courant 2025)
After Flowersamong the hits of the year 2023, Miley Cyrus is preparing to make her musical return in 2025 with a new album. Presented by the artist as a “conceptual”, “hypnotizing” and “glamorous” project, this disc, entitled Something Beautifulis inspired by the sounds of The WallPink Floyd’s double album released in 1979.
The release date of this album is currently unknown but Miley Cyrus has announced that it will be released in 2025.

Originally announced for August 30, the new project from the rapper and companion of Rihanna was pushed back to 2025 due to leaks and rights issues on certain samples.
According to the American press, many guests are expected on this disc like The Alchemist, Tyler, The Creator, Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean, Hitkidd, Madlib and Metro Boomin.
