Orgères-en-Beauce. Do Ré songs announce Christmas. To celebrate its twenty years of existence, the Les chants Do Ré choir gave a Christmas concert last Sunday at the Cœur de Beauce tourism center in Orgères-en-Beauce.
Led by its president since 2011, Sylvie Saunier, her secretary Claire Despeisse and her “pillar” Rachel Aidat, the small troupe welcomed a disparate audience of all ages, made up of around forty people.
She performed “a cappella, that is to say without a musical instrument”, under the direction of Marie Marchon, choir director since August.
Recruitment campaign
This concert was initially planned outside. But due to the terrible weather conditions, it was moved to the Maison de la Beauce, which allowed the singers and spectators to experience this event in much better conditions.
For the choir Les chants Do Ré, he opened a recruitment campaign for choristers.
Sylvie Saunier indicates that it is possible, from the age of 16, to expand the workforce currently made up of twenty-one singers, four men for seventeen women, responding to activities according to their availability.
