Saturday December 21 at 9 p.m., the duo Groove des Oreilles will be in concert at the Pistouflerie for the closing evening before the winter holidays (reopening on January 11, 2025). Electro / Trans / Blues. GTO (Groove Tes Oreilles), composed of Pascal Curto (keyboardist) and Ray Estalle (drummer) is a duo distilling its compositions sprinkled with a few spicy covers with GTO sauce. A joyful, energetic and dancing repertoire takes you into a sound atmosphere close to African-American music from the 60s. The Hammond organ (clone of church organs, created in 1935 and quickly absorbed by blues, jazz, funk, rock, reggae, etc.) broadcast by a Leslie booth (amplifier with rotating sound diffusers) contributes an important part to this color. Another particularity of this formula is that it leaves, on a solid basis, a large space for improvisation, each concert has its unique side. This also makes it possible to have different guest instrumentalists or singers coming to spice up these musical feasts. Groove and good humor are on the agenda for this instrumental duo led by experienced musicians, with numerous musical adventures that have forged their know-how.
