Over 30 minutes of rare footage of Black Sabbath performing live on tour Technical Ecstasy are now available online, to the delight of fans.

A historical treasure for Sabbath fans

Rare footage of Black Sabbath in concert has just appeared online, immortalizing a legendary performance given on November 9, 1976 at the Selland Arena in Fresno, California. This hall, with a capacity of 10,000 seats, welcomed not only Black Sabbath that evening, but also Boston and Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band as opening acts.

The group, then in the middle of touring for the album Technical Ecstasyhad played a set of 14 pieces. Six of them appear in the recently released video: Symptom Of The Universe, Snowblind, All Moving Parts (Stand Still), War Pigs, Gypsy et Children Of The Grave.

A fleeting opportunity?

Although these images are a real gem for fans of Classic Rock, their availability may be limited. Part of this concert had already been posted online in 2017 via the YouTube account of Reelin’ In The Yearsa company specializing in the management and distribution of archives of concerts and interviews for documentaries, films and other cultural projects. Their logo, as well as a timecode, appear on the video, suggesting that this new sequence also comes from their archives.

With 12 tracks from this performance listed in their database, it is possible that more videos will be revealed in the future. However, fans should hurry to watch this video before it disappears.
