Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie posed with their two sons, Prince Charles and Prince François, as the end-of-year holidays approach. The heir couple now shares some lovely photos of these family moments at Fischbach Castle.

Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie conclude their eventful year with a family shoot
It is a special year which is coming to an end for the Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg. Last October, his father, Grand Duke Henri handed him the lieutenant generalship, meaning that he can now act in his father’s name, receiving all the prerogatives granted to the head of state. A year 2025 full of changes awaits the 43-year-old heir to the throne, while his father may announce his desire to abdicate at any moment.

The grand ducal heir couple, Prince Charles and Prince François of Luxembourg pose for the holidays
As is tradition, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and his wife, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie, agreed to pose at their home, Fischbach Castle, in the run-up to the holidays. The heir couple posed with their children, Prince Charles and Prince François, and shared the result of the photo session on the social networks of the Grand Duke’s House, this Monday, December 16.

At 4 and a half years old, Prince Charles already knows some Christmas traditions and enjoys placing the red balls on the tree, while his brother, still a little small, observes him while playing with a rocking horse. The two brothers also wear similar outfits. Both are wearing identical navy blue wool sweaters and the same hats. Prince François is experiencing his second Christmas, he who will celebrate his 2nd birthday next spring.
Guillaume and Stéphanie took their children for a walk in the wooded surroundings of Fischbach Castle, their residence which they will have to abandon the day Guillaume takes the throne. Their next residence, a house on the Berg Castle grounds, is currently under construction.
