What is the content of the “Out of Limits” plot?

Clémentine Poidatz: Captain Meyer (Laurent Gerra) goes to join an old college friend and he dies after falling from a chairlift. We quickly start on the trail of a murder. My character investigates this affair alongside Captain Meyer, but also a rather misogynistic super-cop, played by Stéphane Debac.

In this story, Captain Meyer will also find a youthful love played by the Italian actress Caterina Murino. The plot is very well put together and keeps you entertained until the end. There is action, stress and extraordinary settings. I am very proud of this film.

How was the filming of this episode which, like the two previous ones (“Black as snow” (2021) and “Dead at the top” (2023), took place in the Maurienne valley, in Savoie?

During filming, we were less cold than usual, even if it was -10°C at times. There was a great atmosphere and it was great to welcome new characters. As for Laurent Gerra, he is certainly a very serious person, but he is capable of pulling off an imitation in a thousandth of a second. He is extremely kind and ultimately quite insecure as an actor. It’s very pleasant to play with him. He’s funny and damn hardworking. I’ve known him for four years and he’s someone I really like.

Laurent Gerra is a very popular person.

Each of the first two episodes attracted approximately six million viewers. How do you explain such success?

I think Laurent Gerra is a very popular person. We are also a real team that puts a lot of heart into it. Many people believe that filming is something a bit glamorous but not at all: we get up at 5 a.m., we have tons of texts to learn, we take lifts, chairlifts and other snowshoes to go and shoot up there… I think all this collective energy can be seen on the screen. We try to put on a show. Without forgetting the Savoyard landscapes with these snow-capped mountains, these wide open spaces… Such entertainment transports viewers far from everyday life, to take them somewhere else.

How many viewers do you expect watching “Hors limits” this Monday, December 16?

The first two episodes were a big hit, which was not at all expected. There, I’m crossing my fingers that we continue to be at the top of the audiences.

Is a fourth episode in progress?

Yes, we are leaving again, in January 2025, to film in Savoie. This will be a surprising episode compared to the others, but I can’t say more.

I’m coming back to to see the sea and swim.

Will we see you in other series?

There, I have just finished filming two series: “Sud est” by Elsa Marpeau and Danielle Arbide, for Canal +, and “A Dangerous Friendship”, by Alain Tasma, for France 2. I also played in “Queen Mother” by Manele Labidi with, among others, Camélia Jordana.

When will we return to Brittany, with family, to Carantec (29) or Ouessant (29)?

I’m coming back to Brittany after Christmas, because I need to recharge my batteries, see the sea and go swimming.

“Out of bounds”

Monday December 16, at 9:05 p.m., on France 2.
