In the 32nd final of the Women's French Cup, Marseille, a D2 team, did not give Nîmes (D3) any favors on Sunday afternoon.
The Nîmes were logically outclassed, Sunday December 15, against the much sharper Marseillaises (0-10). But they will be able to rely on their first thirty minutes for the rest of their season.
Thirty interesting minutes for the Nîmes
The Gard team, however, made an interesting start, putting constant pressure which surprised the Marseillaises (4th, 7th). The game is open, the Nîmes are diligent and concentrated to try to achieve a miracle qualification. The Phocaeans are enterprising, but Ferrucci's saves save the Gard team (14th, 15th).

OM comes up against an aggressive and impeccable defense. The first thirty minutes are balanced, the Nîmes look at the Marseillaises eye to eye.
Alone in the area, Leger, nevertheless, manages to find the fault (0-1, 32nd). It's the beginning of the end. This goal hurts the Nîmes who cracked again in the following minute, OM doubling the lead on a counter-attack concluded by Couasnon (0-2, 33rd). A terrible stroke of fate for Nîmes which had nevertheless entered the match well.
OM plays in second
After the break, the OM players unfolded and displayed their superiority. Leger scores a double (0-3, 46th), then a hat-trick thanks to good crosses from Couasnon (0-4, 50th).
The second half is complicated for the Nîmes who seem overwhelmed. Marseille dominates in all sectors. On a volley, Leger increases the score a little more (0-5, 57th).
In the last twenty minutes, Nîmes let go. The Phocaeans no longer stop. Scannapieco has its hat-trick (63rd, 74th and 90th + 1) and Mazza (78th) and Khezami (90th) participate in the party, making the bill very steep (0-10).
Coach Olivier Bonnes preferred to retain the positive and these “good first thirty minutes in the application of our principles. We have to remember what we were able to do well against a team that is aiming for promotion to the first division.”
