It’s a legendary scene that all rap fans necessarily remember. In 2018, the rivalry between two of the greatest rappers of the time, Booba and Kaaris, reached its climax during an impressive fight that occurred on August 1 at airport (Val-de-).

Guillaume Cagniard, an artist from Hauts-de-Seine, decided to tell the story of this violent confrontation during a temporary exhibition, The Battle of OrlyWho runs until December 24 in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris.

An exhibition divided into three parts

In Gallery 78 (3rd), visitors can come and discover for free behind the scenes of this fight from the point of view of the artist who offers his view of the facts in various paintings or sculptures. To facilitate understanding, the exhibition has been “thought like a film and divided into three space-times”.

The first “returns first to this fratricidal duel” which took place in Hall 1 in the middle of a crowd stunned by this sad spectacle. The second space “retraces this virtual opposition, smartphones in hand, punctuated by countless invectives often contrasting with the daily life of these two men, loving their loved ones and their children”. Indeed, for several years, Booba and Kaaris have continued to insult each other on social networks.

As proof, the “Duke of Boulogne” did not hesitate to share the exhibition poster on his Instagram account. All while mentioning his sworn enemy.

Finally, the last one is more fanciful and deals with a possible “return match” for the two who had been given a suspended prison sentence and a heavy fine to repair the damage caused.

The exhibition “The Battle of Orly” is located at gallery 78 at 78 rue du Temple in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris.
It is visible until December 24, every day from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
