The “Ambassadors of Cinema” workshops are aimed at 15-25 year olds who are interested in cinema and would like to participate closely in projects relating to the world of the seventh art. Proposed by the municipal cinema, the system will take different forms to introduce young people from Quimper to the world of cinema from the inside.
Programming, reviews, social networks…
“I’m going to get them to talk about cinema but also to make small video clips to promote films broadcast by La Bobine or that they have programmed themselves,” explains Pravine Barady, the project leader, Cinéphare mediator, who works two days a week at La Bobine and has already been running workshops for young people for several months.
Workshops will enable participants to acquire the necessary technical skills. They will also tackle the construction of a review or the management of social networks. “I will also support them in organizing events such as screening sessions or Marathon days, entirely dedicated to cinema. We will start from their desires, their requests, I will adapt accordingly,” concludes Pravine Barady.
“To introduce this generation to the pleasure of watching a film in a theater”
The formula is therefore very flexible and adjusts to the skills and availability of young people. The days and frequencies of the meetings will be fixed collectively. Depending on the opportunities offered by the room’s programming, young people will be able to meet cinema professionals speaking during the screenings, attend preview screenings, festivals, etc. Participants will benefit from two permanent free entries to La Bobine. “Without opposing platforms, which are very popular with young people, it is a way of introducing this generation to the pleasure of watching a film in theaters” summarizes Simon Tanguy, director of La Bobine.
Pravine Barady and Simon Tanguy would like to bring together between ten and fifteen young people in January and entrust them with the creation of an event for the February holidays.
