Mario Pelchat had some very sad news to share: he is in mourning for his father.

This Wednesday, December 11, in the afternoon, the singer shared the sad news via his Facebook page.
With the pen that we know him to have, the interpreter of I don’t love you anymore paid a beautiful tribute to his father, Réal, who was always very proud of him.

“When I was little, when I was 3 or 4 years old, I went with my mother to the construction sites where my father worked and to each person I met, I proudly told them “I am the son of Réal Pelchat” . I was so proud of my father! He was loved by everyone, I was impressed when we entered the shops, everyone greeted him “hi Réal, hi Réal, hi Réal”, it reinforced my idea that my dad was the best! I wanted to one day be like him, to be known and recognized like him. The years passed and I often heard him say to everyone he met “I am the father of Mario Pelchat” it bothered me, I didn’t want him to do that, but deep down I understand that he was proud and this was his way of letting me know. My father finished his journey here today. My sadness is immense, but my pride in having had him as a model is even greater. I love you dad. You were great! Have a good trip. Kiss mom and Johanne.
