Red Moon Road on rural tour for the Holidays

A sign that the holiday season is approaching, the Winnipeg music group Red Moon Road begins its festive tour this Friday, November 29. Over the next three weeks, the folk group will travel across Manitoba and Western Ontario.

This is the third time that Red Moon Road is organizing a tour during the holiday season.

Nicknamed A Simple Kind of Christmas Tour, this series of shows echoes the album that the group produced in 2020, A Simple Kind of Christmas.

This music is written for [être] share. It’s the music we make together, as a family or as a communityexplains Daniel Péloquin-Hopfner, musician and member of the group Red Moon Road.

The group begins its tour in Pinawa then will travel to Kenora, St Pierre-Jolys, Thompson, Flin Flon, Manitou then Winnipeg.

For Daniel Péloquin-Hopfner, originally from the village of Sainte-Rose du Lac, northwest of Winnipeg, it is important to reach out to rural audiences.

For us, it’s important to bring music to remote areas, not only to urban centers, but to bring music across Canada, even to rural areas.
