Psychologist Olivier Béranger and his wife Paloma have planned to celebrate their thirty years of marriage by inviting their best friends and their only daughter Alice to their provincial home. The young woman who had difficulty bouncing back after a romantic disappointment found a new partner on a dating site.
After several months of living as a couple and madly in love with Damien, she made the decision to introduce her boyfriend to her parents and at the same time announce to them her intention to marry him.
While preparations are going well, Olivier, suspicious by nature, intends to test the newcomer to ensure that he deserves his place in the family circle. Such is his surprise when he discovers that the man in question is none other than his worst patient…
Filmed in spring-summer 2023 in Brussels and Haute Savoie (In Thonon-les-Bains, Yvoire, Sciez and at Col de la Forclaz), this dynamic and humorous production will please the viewer from the first scenes. We are pleased to find a unique actor of his kind, in the person of Christian Clavier. The French comedian pulls out all the stops as an overprotective and excited father. Surrounded by faces well known to fans of burlesque comedies, he leads the dance like an orchestra conductor who strives to avoid any false note. Alas, the quality script is lost, little by little, in a heavier humor which is strangely reminiscent of certain American comedies, where falls follow one another and disasters become slightly scabrous.
Director and screenwriter of this feature film, Arnaud Lemort is known to the public for having produced or scripted numerous comedies, including the famous: Ibiza (2019), Depression between friends (2012), Love is better between two (2010), The Cordial Agreement (2006) as well as one of his biggest hits: The Antidote (2005).
Featuring alpine landscapes and breathtaking views of Lake Geneva, this unpretentious creation will bring you a good moment of relaxation and a few laughs.
