The Higher School of Visual Arts (ESAV) is preparing to host the AI Film Awards Marrakech 2024 event on December 2, 2024. This event will bring together film creators, directors, experts in artificial intelligence (AI) and young talents around of an innovative program.
After lighting up the stages of Cannes, Venice and Dubai, the AI Film Awards arrive in Marrakech on December 2, 2024 at the Superior School of Visual Arts (ESAV). This event will take place in parallel with the Marrakech International Film Festival, and will bring together film creators, directors, experts in artificial intelligence (AI) and young talents around an innovative program. “Under the sponsorship of Nabil Bouhajra, director of TV5MONDE Maghreb-Orient and president of the jury, the AI Film Awards 2024 will offer a reflection on current issues in cinema and technology, while exploring the new perspectives opened up by AI for cinematographic and audiovisual production. This unique event will allow participants to discover how artificial intelligence is transforming cinematic storytelling and to discuss it,” the organizers indicate on this subject. Indeed, the AI Film Awards Marrakech announce an event of even greater scale.
These are the AI Film Awards Africa which will also be held in Marrakech from April 14 to 16, 2025, in partnership with Gitex Africa. The event therefore offers a series of dynamic activities, designed to stimulate exchange and innovation. In this case, master classes and conferences led by experts in AI and cinema, round tables on industry trends and the impact of AI in audiovisual production in the medium and long term. Also on the program, AI Film Market, screenings of selected AI films, highlighting the most avant-garde creations and presentation of the Crystal Brain Trophies, rewarding excellence in the use of AI for cinematographic creation.
It must be said that this Moroccan edition of the AI Film Awards will mark the start of an African tour, with stops in Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Niger, and in other cities around the world such as Jeddah, Miami, Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, London and Paris. “This international expansion aims to strengthen synergies between artificial intelligence and cinema, promoting unprecedented collaborations within the global ecosystem of technological innovation,” explain the initiators.
To note, the AI Film Awards bring together an international team of experts in technology, cinema and communication, united by their passion for technological innovations and audiovisual production.
