Saturday July 6th at the Salle de l’Horloge the Grooveland association is organizing a concert with Shirley Johns, the group SPIKE UP and the Grooveland choir. With her soul queen voice and sparkling energy the singer will be accompanied by the musicians of SPIKE UP. A group born under groove music infusions. If the main substance remains Soul, in the end they have Funk-Rock palpitations in their blood, from sensual sweetness to the explosive energy of titles expressed without detours. These overexcited musicians take everyone on a wild ride. Mixing Neo Soul and Funk-Rock with freshness, SPIKE UP warms up the audience in less than two. The amateur Grooveland choir is made up of inhabitants of the Lot region driven by a passion for singing and current music. They came together to prepare four pieces from the SPIKE UP repertoire, supervised by Shirley Johns in order to live the stage experience together and offer you the best of Soul, Pop and Funk music. The Grooveland association, producer and distributor of musical shows, supports contemporary music and more specifically African-American music.
